Opening of Mother Vojtěcha's home in Prachatice on 10 September 2012

Mother Vojtěcha Hasmandová – a sister of the Order of St. Charles Borromeo, political prisoner, later General Superior of the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy of St. Charles Borromeo, a woman who worked with perseverance an courage on the restoration of religious communities under the communist regime which aimed at liquidation of the church life.

Mother Bohuslava Kubačáková, General Superior of the Congregation of the Order of St. Charles Borromeo and sister Alena Bártová remembered the life of Mother Vojtěcha. (Mother Bohuslava’s speech at the solemn opening ceremony of the Home here.)

Mother Vojtěcha’s Home in Prachatice was opened on the 60th anniversary of the imprisonment of the then convent superior. A nursing home for patients with the Alzheimer’s disease was opened in one part of the building of the SCB Congregation.
