Lent II

Love has to be able of sacrifice

What shall we do to spend this Lent in holiness? To stand at the suffering Christ not only with our compassion, but also with full activity of merciful love? We are the Church Militant. For us the repose is not comfortable. Endowed with the charisma of contemplation and mercy, we embarked on the path of perfect love and decided for constant and diligent efforts so that the merciful Jesus becomes visible through our humble service. Our love – especially for sisters – has to be able of sacrifices. Otherwise it is not true love. Without dying to ourselves we will not move forward. Let us draw strength, courage and light for it from the suffering of our Lord. Let us look at Christ’s cross, contemplate his painful path to the Calvary accompanied by the Mother of pain so that we can also accept our destiny in its full severity.

Let the look at the cross, which is a declaration of Jesus’ love for a man; enable us to a perfect sacrifice, to our own transformation.

The keener this effort will be, the greater God’s mercy will be and will be touching our hearts in order to transform them, fill them and make our soul a source of love for others. Trusting in Jesus’goodness and in community with Mother of pain and mercy let us enter into the silence of the Lenten desert where the clamor of the world falls silent and God speaks.

Let us pursue tenaciously the solitude of the suffering Christ. Let us learn the silence so that we experience the fruit of the Lenten period.

“Just little minds hate silence.” (O. Vícha)

Let us pray often the way of the cross. Let us ignite here the fire of our ideals. True mercy is not possible without love for the Crucified.

Let us understand the greatness of the Lent, the greatness of today! Let us live a holy life!

I think of you, I wish a deep dive into the mystery of the Passion and I bless you daily with love in the silence of the sanctuary.

Yours sincerely SM. Vojtěcha.
